A man has appeared in court charged with wilful fireraising after a blaze at a tenement building in the north of Glasgow.
Firefighters were sent to the scene in Stonyhurst Street in the Possilpark area of the city when the alarm was raised at about 4.50pm on Sunday September 6.
Graeme Moxey, 48, was charged with wilful fireraising when he appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
He did not enter a plea and was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
The building had lain empty for 20 years, but funding had been allocated for a refurbishment which would bring it back into use for homes.
