Van driver killed in three-vehicle crash

A van driver has died after his vehicle was involved in a crash with two cars.
Police were called to the scene on the A68 near St Boswells, in the Scottish Borders, at around 9pm on Saturday.
A white Ford Transit, green Suzuki SX4 and white Honda SR-V were involved.
The 38-year-old driver of the Transit later died in hospital.
The 62-year-old woman driving the Suzuki sustained a serious injury and the 66-year-old man driving the Honda reported a minor injury.
The road opened at 4.40am on Sunday.
Sergeant Fraser Mitchell said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died at this extremely difficult time.
“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or who saw any of these vehicles prior to the collision, to please get in touch with officers.
“I’d also ask those with dashcam footage who were driving in the area at the time to review this to see if it has captured anything that could assist with our investigation.”
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3354 of September 12.”
